Bring back the old Discover Weekly algorithm

Discover Weekly used to be the strongest reason I subscribed to Spotify. For years, it was how I found my favorite artists — songs I'd never have heard otherwise, but that landed perfectly in my taste.

Something has changed. For months now, the tracks Discover Weekly serves me are not just unfamiliar, they're songs I actively dislike. The playlist no longer feels like discovery — it feels like a random feed.

And it's not just me. Several friends and colleagues have brought this up, all describing the same experience: a playlist that used to feel hand-picked now feels generic and off-target.

I'm the type of listener your discovery features were built for: someone who actively wants to find new artists. But discovery only works if the recommendations start from my actual taste. When that foundation breaks, I have no reason to stay on the platform.

If Discover Weekly doesn't return to what it once was, I'll cancel my subscription — and based on the conversations I'm having, I won't be the only one.

Agreed. It's terrible now. Used to be a great way of discovering new music. I don't want to use the suggested filters. That's the whole point of DW!!
