Change/ Disable voice personality of AI DJ

As the title says, it would be a great feature if we could change or disable the voice or personality of the AI DJ.

I've given up and just don't use the feature at all.

Who even had the idea to give the DJ a voice and not add an option to disable it? Like... why?

FailSafex

@AKitsune I believe it was first called the "radio" then we all payed money to not have people interrupt our music. Then Spotify thought it would be great to have a computer voice interrupt our music and go against everything that their platform went against.

Plenty others have said it, just throwing my voice in the sea, I _like_ the suggestions the AI builds, it's genuinely pretty good at picking a mix I like. I just hate that the voice periodically interrupts it, and I have no ability to turn it off. I tend not to use the AI playlist because of the constant disruption of it.

TemplarIRL

I would very much like to have a few DJ voice options and I also feel like the option to disable the DJ voice would be nice to have, while the dev team is at it, as it CAN break to vibe when in a good listening groove.

I hate to piggy-back, but I WOULD LOVE to be able to also be able to filter/edit (as an few others suggested) WHAT get's played... I use Spotify for sleep sounds because I have no better option and I'm REALLY sick of getting sleep sounds on my AI DJ mix and seeing it in my "<year> in a Wrap".

10+ years of premium and it's nice to see the new ideas show up and get tailored for the community.

How has this not been implemented yet? Thread after thread asking for the same thing, and runaround answers essentially just directing the consumer to another thread that does not provide an answer. We should be able to listen to the AI DJ option without the annoying speaking between songs. Are we regressing back to the radio days?

Pls make this happen - I really enjoy the auto playlist, mixing music types up, changing things around, but I cannot stand the incredibly fake DJ voice as it comes on and EXPLAINS and EXPLAINS and tells me how I'm feeling and what I seem to like and what I listened to three months ago, as if I think it is relevant to what I want to listen to now. "Playing xyz and a few more folks who are up your alley these days." Um, wth does this voice consider "up my alley", as if that music or artist is somehow connected to me, that we belong in the same demographic, or I implicitly approve of. Perhaps I decided, after giving something a try, it is not up my alley. I find it infuriating, patronizing, overwhelming. Even worse, it goes on and on. I usually switch it off in anger. How about just say less. A lot less. Or, nothing, say nothing.

Spotify obviously does not care about feedback for their product since they have made no changes or given an official response. As such I will drop this garbage company the second that a better option comes along.

Any update on this? those comments are useless and annoying. They disturb from driving a lot

I don't mind the dj interrupting every 15-20 minutes, but its way to often now. I just listened to a 30 second backstory on a song from the DJ. I specifically use spotify to avoid annoying radio commentary. I like the variety across my playlists that DJ give me but dont care to hear about upcoming songs.
