[Connect] Multiple Speakers / Devices simultaneously

Now that connect is becoming available it would be nice to be able to connect to multiple outputs at the same time. For example I have 2 connect compatable speakers... it'd be great to have these in different parts of my house and be able to stream the same music to both.

I would suggest a maximum of 3 devices at the same time. This will allow for most scenarios to be catered for without streatching the bandwidth too much that it will degrade quality.

Hey everyone,

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Idea Exchange.

We've discussed this idea and while it is interesting, we aren't able to prioritize it and don't have any immediate plans to implement this. We will let you know if this changes in the future.

If we do have any new information to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

More info on why your idea has been closed can be found here.

What a fantastic idea, stream the same music to multiple speakers on the same network.

Completely agree,

thank you spotify for the extension of the "Connect " capability to desktop app.

The feature of multiple output sources would be a wonderful way to extend spotify usage to the full house and garden. I agree even to pay a (small) fee for such a possibility.

Indeed I think that you would gain more money just from the enlargement of the market, going to compete with different players like Sonos....

I have now connected my old android phones to my livingroom, kitchen and bedroom amplifiers and this would be an awesome feature 🙂

This feature would change the whole house audio market for the better and would make Spotify the must have app for all music lovers.

I don't know if this violates your licensing, but could you have an "added devices" subscription offer that allowed for more than one device?  Why not keep your 9.99 and then allow additional devices for 5.99.  If there's no way to get around what the artists' need from their end, then even allowing another connection @ 9.99 would be something interesting.  Just one less account people have to manage.

Please consider doing something like this.  It just feels like the subscription/pricing could be more convenient.  The good news is that people like your product. it feels weird, but I'm asking you to find additional ways that we can give you money. 🙂

I am currently connected to my iPad and controlling the music coming out from Mac... it would be great to let the iPad stream at the same time via bluetooth, so I can have my bluetooth speaker on the garden streaming the same music as in the living room...

i would really love it. please do spotify!

Just bought my second airplay device, and a premium membership. Was a bit disapointed when I found out I couldn't play them both at the same time. Would be awsome if you could make this work with spotify. Other music apps does it. Sure you can too 🙂

I think it's a great app. Thank you for that.
