Connect re-adding songs removed from queue

When using Spotify Connect, any queue edits such as removing songs are instantly undone if you disconnect from the “Connect” speaker or move to a different speaker and it will often re-add played songs from the playlist. (Tested with Sonos, Alexa, multiple devices and two separate Spotify accounts). Support apparently raised this when I emailed them last year but it’s still ongoing. The only workaround is to use AirPlay as the whole point of removing from the queue is so they won’t play.  (which stutters due to lack of AirPlay 2 support)
