DJ AutoMix, beat matching, (like apple’s new AI Auto mix DJ)

So Apple just released their Apple Music “DJ AutoMix,” which blends and beat matches the next song for a seamless transition into the next song. A lot of people are switching to Apple Music because of this new “DJ AutoMix” feature. If Spotify can implement this with their AI DJ, people will come back to Spotify and can also gain new users. I myself am thinking of switching to Apple Music, but I love Spotify’s UI.

need to have spotify automix the exact same as apple music has it i am trialing apple music free for 3 months and wow it’s amazing the automix makes your playlist shuffle so much better

100% agree! I like my DJ, however smoother transitions (and the ability to occasionally choose the songs) would be amazing! Ideally I would like the 'Automix' to be separate from the DJ so I can choose the tracks (but the DJ should have automix built in).

Yes. If Spotify doesn't do this, I'll switch to Apple Music.

I think we are all the same agreement if spotify don’t unlock the automix feature for all our playlists and liked songs i feel like a lot of people will transfer their playlists and jump over to apple music

I have an active Spotify and Apple Music subscription - will be deciding which one to stay with once iOS 26 gets released and we have the opportunity to test it out.

Crossfade is a decent feature, but it doesn't always deliver a truly seamless transition. It can sometimes feel abrupt or glitchy, which really disrupts the flow-especially for someone like me who's sensitive to those details.

Back when I used iTunes, I had an app that took things to the next level. It automatically matched BPMs, created smooth transitions across different genres, and even added subtle percussive effects to bridge tracks. You could fine-tune the experience by setting a consistent tempo (I prefer 100 BPM) and choosing how long each track would play-say, two minutes per song.

Honestly, features like Crossfade, CrossPlay, and AutoMix should be standard in any modern music player. They make a huge difference in creating a cohesive, enjoyable listening experience especially for those of us who appreciate a bit of sonic finesse.

It would be cool to see a preview of the vibes that it chooses with a queue. If it was more interactive, than just voice options that would be cool

This would be huge, it's something I enjoy just as I listen, but this would be a game changer when using Spotify for a party or wedding playlists. If DJ could take a premade playlist and mix it for you as well it would be stunning.

I saw this feature announced for Apple Music at WWDC and **bleep** this is such a must have tbh.

We need this feature all over Spotify, not just the DJ.
