Download and favorite shared playlists in Spotify kids

I would like to be able to have my child download shared playlists I make for her. There are simply too many randomly omitted songs from the Spotify kids library, which means the only way she can listen to these songs is if I share them in a playlist. I don’t see why she shouldn’t be able to listen to those songs offline.

Also, songs that I share with her in a playlist should just be searchable in her library.

And can someone explain why a song like I Feel Like Dancing by Jason Mraz is not in Spotify kids?

Sharing playlists with a child is supported on Spotify Kids. See "Shared Playlists" here: https://support.spotify.com/us/article/spotify-kids/

The playlist must be created by the Premium Family plan manager, but what I have also found is that it must not be marked 'Private', and also I think that it cannot be a collaborative playlist. As long as it is a public playlist created by solely by the "grown up" managing the child account, the child will be able to see the playlist you have shared with them.

Not being able to download shared playlists in spotify kids is a huuuuuuge downside. It severely limits the usefulness of the spotify devices I just bought them for Christmas. Very few of the songs they should have access to are available, instead the spotify editors seem to be trying to direct them towards Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran. Why won't spotify allow parents to properly curate their kids accounts?

I feel exactly the same.

My experience switching from Duo account to Family Account for having my 8y old kid enjoying music in a safe and controlled environment with Spotify is a disaster.

I go from one major disappointment to the next one.

Not only I had to buy a new device because the old iPhone I was using for my kid is not supported anymore by Spotify, that for more than one week playlists could not be shared or E content would not appear and now I realize my kid cannot use that device without WiFi which makes this device and the extra fees we are paying for having the spotifiy kids alimony useless.
I hope this can be solved very soon for all the families that are in the same situation.

A download function for the shared playlists should be introduced as soon as possible. Otherwise, Spotify Kids makes no sense, because there must be an Internet connection at all times. But I also want my children to be able to listen to content offline so that they are not permanently exposed to Wi-Fi radiation and of course we also need the content on the go ,when there is no Internet connection.

Agreed with all above.

Spotify Kids is useless without the ability to download songs for them.  Take it on an airplane? Nope.

The curated lists for kids are overall really bad.  Their not inappropriate, just mediocre music. I would like to choose what my kid has access to, and the best possible use is for when we don't have internet access.

I'll be discontinuing my family plan until this is changed.

Please do this asap. It's a great app but this feature is lacking. Our kids are always disappointed when offline b/c a good amount of their favorite songs come via shared playlists.

Please enable offline listening for the songs my child wants to listen to. She is not I treated in someone else's favorites. She just wants to listen to music that is of interest to her, without having to have Internet access. This is an important function to enable for paying customers.

Yes please, allow downloading of shared playlists to spotify kids. It's ridiculous that a parent curated playlist cannot be downloaded!
