Free audiobook listening time for all Premium members

While I'm grateful for the move to bring audiobooks to Spotify, the exclusive benefit of free audiobooks for the "plan manager" in duo and family memberships seems unjust. It diminishes the premium experience for other members who pay the same amount as their friends and family but don't enjoy the full premium benefits.

I acknowledge the cost-effectiveness of duo and family memberships, but the solution to a fairer listening experience could be to distribute the 15 hours among all members in your party. This way, duo members, for instance, would get 7.5 hours free—a reasonable compromise for the reduced cost.

It ensures fairness to all users and gives users the option to customise their audiobook time based on their plan size and budget.

Spotify did everything wrong with the audiobook addition! It should be rolled out to ALL premium members with all the details! Why are we limited to 15 hours instead of book credits?!

Now they are increasing Duo membership pricing - AND STILL DONT INCLUDE AUDIOBOOKS FOR BOTH PARTIES!?!?!?!?!?!

It is absurd that I was duped into upgrading to a duo membership and was not aware that my partner would no longer be able to listen to audiobooks. I don’t even listen to audiobooks. This needs to be fixed asap or we may find ourselves seeking a new media platform.

This should also apply to Premium Duo. Spotify have done such a great job providing the same benefits to all users on the plan, it seems strange to introduce a new perk that is restricted to just the plan manager.

Like others, I am the family account holder, and I rarely listen to audiobooks. However, my kids with learning disabilities listen to tons of audio books. I really wish other members of my family plan could utilize this feature!

Basically instead of only the plan manager being the one who can listen to audio books allow that right to be assigned to another member of the Family or Duo plans. As maybe the plan manager does not care about audio books but their partner does. It would then be locked to them for at least of month and cannot be reassigned in a month with active listening probably but can be assigned to start next month for a new member of the family or duo plan.  Only the plan manager and make the assignment.  This should still keep it within the bounds of the licensing agreement Spotify entered into as only one person is able to listen per account. Just feels like a wastes feature if the plan manager doesn’t want to use it but another member of their family or duo account would love the access.

All members of an eligible Premium Family plan should have access to the free audiobook hours, not just the plan manager. Given the fee for the plan is to cover the whole family, all members should have access to the same level of service.

I'm glad this is now a live idea. Good job.

As it is, it is impossible to change plan manager or easily cancel/remake family plans and only the plan manager gets the audiobook hours. This is really bad since it might not be the plan owner who cares about listening to audiobooks!
