Mark / Disable AI Generated Songs

The platform is increasingly flooded with AI-generated songs (especially the Release Radar), making it harder for users to discover authentic, human-created music. To improve the listening experience, Spotify should introduce a clear label for AI-generated songs and provide an option to filter them out entirely.

Enough is enough. Won't pay subscription for AI 'music'. Spotify became the following greedy corporation seeking more and more money and limiting expenses at the same time. Don't you want to pay artist ? OK, time to switch to platform which respects humans.

Weekly from 30 Songs - i had 9 AI Songs.

its always around the 25-35% range of that Playlist with AI.

Following 2 funny pics, def. not AI Art 😉 - songs ofc clearly AI.

had "Artists" - they all Spam Album and single releases.

songs vary from as you can see - Weed - to even Religion ( songs in hebrew, i dont listen to Religion songs, nor do i speak hebrew).

i could argue, that the Weed AI is due a Reggae Playlist from Last Week. But then i would ask " why no german, french or spanish? why no Reggaeton which i literally played 75% of last week".

Weekly was once my source of new Songs for me, now i dont really care anymore about it .. AI ruined it.Every Week 8-10 Songs of 30 ( thats a lot!!! ) is AI.

Blocking or disliking literally makes it worse.

While liking, favorite, using Songs in Playlist, Sharing Songs ... will do nothing for Songs you actually like...

Can we have a settings option not to play any AI songs? I'm so tired of **bleep** music coming in my feeds, either because Spotify is pushing, because fake artists make "features" with real artists make them look like brand new releases or because now there is cheap AI music being even more pushed.

I'm either forced to refuse listening to non-human playlists or to go one by one (and for new releases it's sometimes a dozen songs/artists!) to exclude them and if by some reason I'm really focused on some work, I might notice it but let it play bc I don't want to deviate my attention but at the same time the song is so f**** annoying. The features are the worst because it's 30 sec of**bleep** beat that has nothing to do with the genres I play but even the more complex AI music on those genres is just so not what I want to hear... no real innovation, no real texture - it's almost as if you can hear the computer processing this medley of real life compositions since the birth of music - generic, bland and annoying.

I used to love the Spotify generated playlist because they allowed me to discover new music, nowadays is either sponsorship music (that's when it started to go bad with a lot of bad musicians being pushed) or worse - AI music - which is not real new music, just some automated variations on music that's already been done. So nowadays I can only listen to full albums/artists playlists and I'm back to other platforms to find new music.

If an artist makes music that uses AI it should be a tag like on instagram.

Also comment just for visibility. This needs to be addressed urgently!

Spotify doing this will show its moral code to support real artists and real listeners of music. I will gladly continue to support the platform if they detect and filter out AI. Otherwise, assuming another platform detects and filters AI while Spotify doesn’t, I would gladly jump ship to there, even though I’ve spend a decade with the Spotify.

Honestly I would like to see a spotify policy where they completely disallow AI generated music.  I NEVER want to listen to or ever be recommended AI generated music.  I do not care how "good" it is.  I am universally against it.  Having a content filter is the least Spotify can do.  Spotify already does not do enough to protect real human being musicians and the glut of crappy AI generated music being made and uploaded should be cause for concern. Honestly if it gets too bad I may move off this platform for something that will guarantee no AI generated music. Trust this is coming down the pike and people will want this guarantee.  Legitimate music only please.

This feature is becoming more and more critical especially as Spotify begins to monetize off of the AI generated music (and rather than using it to reinvest in the platform is investing in other industries such as defense contracting) taking away revenue from real artists trying to make a living

Hi! I'm an artist on Spotify (Darksoft) and I've noticed that music proven to be AI-generated is becoming increasingly rampant on the platform, often without any disclosure.

In my music community, there's a growing sense of unease around this. We value transparency and originality, especially in niche genres like dream pop, where authenticity matters. But right now, there's no clear way to report content that's been confirmed or strongly suspected to be AI-generated, particularly when it's passed off as human-made.

I'd like to propose a few changes:

Add an AI Reporting Option:
Please add a dedicated option on the Spotify content reporting page for flagging AI-generated music. This would help users raise concerns in good faith without having to miscategorize the report.

Improve the Good-Faith Reporting Experience:
The current warning about account suspension when reporting content is intimidating, even for users acting in good faith. Personally, it made me choose not to issue a report. It would help if Spotify clarified that respectful reporting won’t result in punishment like account suspensions or terminations.

Label and Moderate AI-Generated Content:
As a creator, I think it’s crucial that Spotify finds a way to label AI-generated music and seriously consider how it's placed in editorial or algorithmic playlists. Right now, AI music risks diluting playlists meant to surface emerging human artists.

Clarify Policies Around AI Content:
Spotify should be transparent about whether fully AI-generated music is allowed on its platform. Do artists need to disclose it? What about distributors? Is it okay to upload music that was generated from AI tools that don't disclose their training datasets and are most likely using copyrighted material? None of this is clear right now in the ToS as I understand it.

I’m sharing this here because I haven’t found another clear channel to bring these concerns to Spotify’s attention. I hope the team will consider this as a small but meaningful step toward ensuring that Spotify continues to support real artists and thoughtful listening experiences.

Thank you!

Actually, I don't want to listen to music created by AI. I like the idea that music comes from a human being's life experience.

3a-iek_te4qep

I totally agree ! I don't want to be misled or deceived about the human origin of the music, and if I have serious doubts about it, it could make me stop using Spotify.
