Mark / Disable AI Generated Songs

The platform is increasingly flooded with AI-generated songs (especially the Release Radar), making it harder for users to discover authentic, human-created music. To improve the listening experience, Spotify should introduce a clear label for AI-generated songs and provide an option to filter them out entirely.

Hey folks!

We're seeing your feedback and, in this regard, we'd like to share some more info on the matter 🙂

Spotify is introducing clearer AI disclosures in the song credits, as well as stricter impersonation rules!
These updates will help protect artists’ identities, ensure royalties are distributed fairly, and give you - the listeners - more transparency.

Note that AI disclosures do not affect how the music is treated for recommendations.
For more info in regard to these new introductions, see the Newsroom article here.

That's all for now, folks! Stay tuned for possible updates in the future.

I'm frustrated by the inclusion of AI with no way for us to exclude it. With other art services -- stock photos and graphics for example, the AI-generated content is clearly identified and the filters allow a simple "exclude AI" box to be checked. Not only is Spotify listing an AI persona as a "verified artist," they offer no obvious identification and no filter to allow us to choose. I want to support real people making music. AI being classified as "verified artist" is a slap in the face to every single artist and creative. Either you kill the AI content, or allow us to choose that option.

Don't you just love how they list their BS answer as the "Top Answer" even though it has a single upvote... slap slap slap that's all I can hear from your representative here Slopify. Your answer did not address the question, it absolutely should not be the "Top Answer"... one vote... haw.

Spotify what´s the big problem ? If you can include it in music credits why can´t you inform of this next to the track. And give us subscribers the choice to investigate it if we are interested or just simply block it with a simple click. Is this rocket science or what´s the problem ? Give us an answer who realy tell us something not just bludder. Yor answer is mostly relative for royaltys and such not much for us spotify users.

They put a man on the moon in the sixties with computer power less that is in your smartphone and you can´t do this !

Come on spotify.

I worked as a professional software engineer for over 25 years, yeah, adding features like flags and user tags, yeah, like 5-10 minutes work, even for a system at this scale. But then what do you expect from a company that can't even do a simple shuffle feature on a single dimensional array without repeating the same tracks over and over again. This is what happens when you do design by committee though.

It’s not that they can’t do it, it’s that they don’t *want* to. AI-generated tracks = lower royalty payments.

If you wont implement a Filter to filter out this AI garbage I'm moving on to another streaming service

I've given up and bought an mp3 player. Blow me.

I’ve already moved to Deezer.

An AI-generated song, right in my recommendations. No warning, no setting to disable it, nothing.

Why, Spotify. Why.
