Mark / Disable AI Generated Songs

The platform is increasingly flooded with AI-generated songs (especially the Release Radar), making it harder for users to discover authentic, human-created music. To improve the listening experience, Spotify should introduce a clear label for AI-generated songs and provide an option to filter them out entirely.

Hey folks!

We're seeing your feedback and, in this regard, we'd like to share some more info on the matter 🙂

Spotify is introducing clearer AI disclosures in the song credits, as well as stricter impersonation rules!
These updates will help protect artists’ identities, ensure royalties are distributed fairly, and give you - the listeners - more transparency.

Note that AI disclosures do not affect how the music is treated for recommendations.
For more info in regard to these new introductions, see the Newsroom article here.

That's all for now, folks! Stay tuned for possible updates in the future.

80%, yikes, sounds like the time to consider alternatives.

I moved to Deezer a few months ago, now I'm finally at the end of my 2 month premium trial, I have had some oddities like strange tracks I didn't add showing up in my favorites (3 Gaga tracks and some weird Native American tribal drum track), though I believe that might have been a glitch with the 3rd party transfer program and not Deezer itself as similar issues showed up in a couple other platforms I transferred my lists and tried as well.

But here's the kicker, in ~3 months of Deezer (for free) I've heard exactly zero AI created music, nothing, notta, zip, ziltch. I feel they've earned my money by protecting my interests from the AI threat, tomorrow I start paying, and I'm content staying there for the foreseeable future.

Sorry Slopify, you missed your chance.

Thanks for the input. That seems to be a good option. I'll give it a go.
Spotify seems to be missing the point and not listening.
Cheers.

Just adding my voice. I genuinely NEVER want AI music to show up randomly on my feed. If I listen to it, it’s to see how the technology is progressing. The idea of AI content competing for space with actual artists is viscerally disturbing. Please allow us to filter this out ASAP or I’ll find another source. Can’t stand these companies all stanning for AI slop.

We are here because we love music. We love art. AI slop is not art.

Truly, this garbage should be banned forevermore, but i’m not so naive as to imagine a world where Spotify prioritizes users above shareholders, and shareholders are in childish raptures over AI.

So in the interim before this bubble bursts, please just let us curate our experience to exclude it.

Tell the suits up top that it’s going great, whatever makes them feel like big important boys with very smart thoughts. But let the regular people with a greater-than-room-temp-IQ listen to actual music from real artists.

I don’t anticipate more than an insulting non-solution, which is why I am not renewing my membership.

There are, after all, so many ways to access premium Spotify content. If Spotify doesn’t believe in protecting artist’s rights to their IP, why on earth should anyone respect Spotify’s?

After Linkon Mark ( AI Version with AI Pic of the .. yes you´ve guessed it band).

After "Deeps" ( 1 to 1 Name also verified AI Person -  of the Artist with millions of Listeners "Deeps")

We now have another one, or at least i have another one in my Weekly.

Tedy Swims. ( should be Teddy Swims, 1 diff. Letter - and as you can see Artist & Single Thumbnail).

Its the same AI Voice, in that Case its the "Gaia Collective".

Same as it was with "Deeps". i listen to Teddy Swims & Deeps a lot. so now i wont get their Music, but i get the AI Fake Accounts .. how is that possible? Again, its not only AI Spam anymore its also Copyright.

PS: and again... AI Song about Jesus, Religion .. i dont listen to songs with those topics ..

Have an option to remove AI completely or i will sadly cancel my subscription. Simple. If I had a choice, I would ban it completely.

Let your money talk, and walk away from Slopify, other providers, like Deezer, have been openly addressing this issue since April. I left Slopify months ago and haven't been forced to endure a single AI slop track during my workday since.

Wow sounds like the scammy slop on Spotify has gotten so much worse. I've been on Deezer since August. Really like it, I don't encounter hardly any anymore. I think I had one AI artist about 5 weeks ago, and boom, it was clearly labeled. To everyone **bleep** off about this, just take things step by step. Spotify isn't going to change. Start by using easy import tools to get your library moved over, and then check out a different service. Then slowly move over. Even if you end up sticking around or coming back, it's worth it.

Right now most of my playlist in recomendations is some low quality ai songs. For authors give the obligation with a checkbox to show that the song was AI generated and for the users ability to disable showing any ai generated songs. Not so hard to implement, two checkboxes and a filter. If I wanted to listen to ai songs I would go to suno website.

For the last 3 weeks, between 30-45% of my Discover Weekly playlists have been AI tracks (despite me hiding these tracks on the playlist). I would like the option to filter out AI music at a settings level. I want to listen to and support real artists.
