Mark / Disable AI Generated Songs

The platform is increasingly flooded with AI-generated songs (especially the Release Radar), making it harder for users to discover authentic, human-created music. To improve the listening experience, Spotify should introduce a clear label for AI-generated songs and provide an option to filter them out entirely.

Hey folks!

We're seeing your feedback and, in this regard, we'd like to share some more info on the matter 🙂

Spotify is introducing clearer AI disclosures in the song credits, as well as stricter impersonation rules!
These updates will help protect artists’ identities, ensure royalties are distributed fairly, and give you - the listeners - more transparency.

Note that AI disclosures do not affect how the music is treated for recommendations.
For more info in regard to these new introductions, see the Newsroom article here.

That's all for now, folks! Stay tuned for possible updates in the future.

Spotify please hurry up, i dont wanna hear any AI trash, oooo i hear a song its sounds like AI? no good artist description / history, let me Google the artist ofc a Youtube channel with 20-40 subs or so, AI generated art and songs, if im listening to music on SPOTIFY i want to listen to people that have a passion to sing and make music not untalented trash!

fix an AI BLOCK feature and while were at it 2FA security we're in 2025 and we still don't have 2FA.....

This is a HUGE problem.  When I block a song or artist that is AI generated, THAT is the reason!  This absolutely needs to be one of the criteria used when Spotify selects music for us.

If I keep blocking AI "artists" consistently, Spotify needs to realize this.

I value authentic human creativity and do not want AI-generated songs included in my recommended playlists, such as Discover Weekly or Release Radar. Please provide an option to clearly label and exclude AI-generated content from recommendations, radios, and playlists. Listeners should have full control over whether to interact with synthetic or human-created music.

Thank you for respecting artistic integrity and listener choice.

I'm a huge music supporter, and I refuse to endorse AI. Real musicians are struggling, and I want my money to support real people with real talent. It's bad enough when you force AI bands and songs into my shuffle play, release radar, and discover weekly, and I have to check the internet to see if they are real...BUT, when you release "new songs" that are fake, but are under the band name of real artists, what happens when I block that fake song? The algorithm thinks I no longer like that artist! But I do!! This cannot continue. We need an AI accept/ decline for our profiles.

I definitely want an option to filter AI generated music and artists from being suggested to me on the app. I do not want this content and will absolutely leave the platform if i cannot have it. This is non negotiable.

FFS, my discover weekly is now about 50% AI. Some are obvious, some are more elaborate fakes with fake social media as well. I'm just going to have to stop using discover weekly, which means I might as well go to another service.

My suggestions are flooded with AI-generated artists now, and it’s very unclear that they are AI. Please rectify Spotify!! I was already thinking of switching services. If this continues, I may go to Apple or Tidal!

After 9 years of subscription, I’m forced to cancel it for this reason too. I’m not against AI-generated music, but I believe it should be clearly distinguished and regulated. I don’t agree with mixing it with artistic music, let alone promoting it in playlists. I was surprised — and honestly disappointed — that Spotify still hasn’t done anything to separate the two. I find that very serious.

At the very least, there should be an option to deselect it and exclude it from our playlists, as someone here has already suggested.

For these reasons, I’ll be cancelling my subscription — sadly.

As another user who has been with Spotify since the very first UK trials, I have to add my voice to this. Even though it has basically 0 impact. Up until a week a go I was defending why I was keeping my subscription, but I'm questioning that now.  My Discovey Weekly and Release Radar are now having obvious and not so obvious AI generated Artists recommended. The deceptive ones have X and insta accounts. I literally have to search "X Artist is AI" to figure out of the are real or not. Luckily when I find one, "Similar Artists" link then up at the bottom,  allowing me to block as many as possible. I spent over an hour doing so last night, but i suspect it's like holding back the tide. There are AI "Artists" who have released 30+ singles in 2025. Spotify is metaphorically filling up with rubbish. They all have 100k+ listeners. I want the option to filter out this **bleep**. Or at least change the payment structure so AI songs pay so little, that people aren't inclined to flood Spotify with their get rich quick schemes.

I want to be able to block AI generated songs on Spotify. I think listeners should be allowed to opt out of listening to AI generated music, especially paying listeners. I have tried to contact Spotify directly and I swear Trishia A. was a hallucinating bot, because when I tried to register my complaint, their response was "oh its frustrating when you can't log in" uuuuuuh, no that is not what I said in any part of my message. Long story short, I have less of an issue with hallucinating AI bot than listening to AI music on a service I pay for. If Spotify wants to lose a paying customer of 10years, they're on the fast track to do so.
