[Mobile] View & Shuffle all Tracks in Playlist Folders

The latest spotify for android update, as well as the newest iOS update, removed the "shuffle all" option for multiple playlists within a folder. I used this feature every day and it's my favorite spotify feature. Please bring it back!

I'm dumbfounded that the ability to shuffle play all folder tracks has now been removed from ALL platforms. This worked perfectly and no valid reason has been given for the removal. Why Why Why!!!

I cannot understand why you suppressed this feature. Tidy the music in folders is required for true users having hundreds of playlists. Moreover I cannot understand why you do ignore your paying users asking for this feature to be back.

I neeeeeeeeeed to be able to play and shuffle folders, since I have multiple genres divided and on the computer I love to play them all together and maybe throw in and album I'm obsessed with at the moment. Also the option to change sorting direction, like the newest at the top instead of having to scroll all the way to the bottom to find the songs I have been saving the last few days. It's the only way. I have used all of my allowed "saved songs" 2 years ago. Need some sorting!

This is the reason i don't update spotify anymore because more and more is stripped away or made more complicated (more steps for the same function). Unfortunately i had to reinstall the app and now I can no longer use this and other features i paid for. It's horrible. I don't want to switch back from spotify but this keeps happening every few months - like they don't even think about what they implement/change and just try out if the community enrages or not. THIS IS WHAT QUALITY ASSURANCE IS FOR. You should try it. And not just test if the feature works as expected. Test if it makes sense. Paying users are no beta testers!!

You can still access the function by accessing your pc, starting the folder and continue to play it on your phone. You just can't change the current playlist or everything is gone (you can't listen to the folder anymore). So Spotify is not really suitable for mobile use anymore without a pc near by, if you're a heavy user who pays good money.

This is how you successfully lose trust.

Just found out recently that I can start and continue from the computer. Not a viable option at all unless you’re at hope and can’t leave the music behind for 2 min while you step outside to smoke.

It would be so easy to implement and work with the community around these issues but nothing happens as far as I know. I don’t recall anyone needing, what Spotify has delivered.

BRING THIS FEATURE BACK. By far and away the most requested feature from power users.

The folders I create are genre based, e.g. Roots, Jazz, etc. I will fill them with various artists in that style and then enjoy shuffling the playlists. I have one folder with 700 playlists. Not being able shuffle the playback among the playlists on my iPad or phone, and also forced to sort them manually, has been a huge inconvenience.

Spotify used to allow both features but inexplicably removed them with "upgrades" to the software.

I hope they bring both feature back.

Really sad, this function is still missing on mobile when it worked so well and there was no reason to remove it (or well, no reason visible for the customer, but there wasn't even any comment on why it was removed) "The team is searching for new ways"... doesn't require to remove something and then letting nothing happen for over a year.

Spotify is putting more effort into creating playlists of the "Daily Mix" type and other "smart" functions based on your listening habits. This way they can prioritize certain artists and songs and push you to music selected by Spotify and removing features which enhance your options for listening to music you've selected yourself.

They can then offer record labels and artists the opportunity to pay for preferred inclusion in these canned playlists.

If my theory is correct, Spotify is maximizing profit by removing features that subscribers have requested and actually want.
