Multiple listenning channels

I wanted to share an idea that could enhance the listening experience on Spotify.

Currently, when listening to a shuffled playlist or a recommended mix, switching to a different genre or focus-based music (e.g., classical for concentration) interrupts the current session. If I return to my original mix later, I often end up repeating tracks or missing out on songs I hadn’t heard yet.

I propose a "Listening Channels" feature that allows users to create multiple temporary listening sessions. For example, if I’m enjoying a shuffled selection of French rap but need to focus with classical music for an hour, I could switch to a new "channel" without losing my place in the original shuffle. When I return, playback would resume seamlessly from where I left off. Users could create, switch between, and delete channels as needed, ensuring a fluid listening experience without the fear of disrupting an algorithmically curated session.

I believe this feature would add flexibility while maintaining the excellent personalized recommendations that make Spotify so great. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this!

Best regards,
