Persistent group sessions

Group sessions are great, but they are also a little annoying that they have to be set up every time. At present, the session must manually started and shared each time. I think there should be an option for you to make a permanent one.

My proposition:

  • As an alternative/extra to sessions, I propose a persistent 'room'.
  • The host is the creator and manager of the room. The room remains on their account until the room is closed/deleted.
  • Members are those invited to the room.
  • The host manages the room and decides access to the group and who has what privileges (ability to choose song, pause/play, add to queue etc.).
  • The host and members can come and go as they please.
  • If no one is present, all activity in the room pauses or is cleared.
  • The host doesn't necessarily need to be present if they've given permission for others to control the room.
  • If the host hasn't given playing permissions to present members, the room is emptied if the host leaves.
  • You can host multiple rooms.

Basically - permanent group sessions. It might be better called a 'Group room', or 'music room' as opposed to 'session'.
