[Queue] Playlist from current Queue

I like the new queue- it would be cool if you could take what's in it and save it as a playlist. I've got a pretty awesome queue lined up and i'd like to capture it!

I agree with Ryrynz and many others about the obvious value of saving from
the current playlist. And you'd think it would be technically quite easy.
So I suspect there's a commercial rather than technical reason the idea has
bounced around for years with no result. Or, maybe, Spotify has a flawed
process for escalating good ideas that is based too much on the quantity
rather than quality of good ideas.

If you highlight the queue, and right-click on the selection, you have the option of saving to a playlist.

M brief testing of your workaround suggests the feature is  limited and not intuitive. It seems the queue can only be saved on a laptop (not a mobile device). Also, the playlist is saved as a 'New Playlist' and you then need to the playlist to give it a unique name.

Strange that Spotify have closed the 'save queue' idea when you can already do it in a limited wat. So this begs the questions: Why not tell the community about the feature and  make it more intuitive?

Garry, could you send a screenshot? Because I don't see this in my players (windows and web). I don't see how multiple tracks can be selected in the queue. Thanks.

UPD: I figured out, you need to use the CTRL key and click on the tracks. Or use ctrl + a, someone will be useful

It's so nuts that Spotify still doesn't have this feature. There are posts asking for it going back years. My iPod had it circa 15 years ago. And it would be dealable if there were some way to freeze your queue but sometimes I've found myself adding a few things I want to hear again during the workday or mixing songs from a couple playlists only to find it gets totally wiped out by an unexpected update or just by opening the app on my phone. I've basically decided to just create a daily playlist, treat it as a queue, and delete later but then what's the point of the queue?

I’ve been hoping for this function for years now. I’m glad they updated the queue function so you can change the order of your queue without deleting and re-adding songs. But please add this feature to make queue playlists!

Yes i agree this would be an awesome idea..but until they do u could do what is listed as the above"workaround" which we shouldn't have to do as a *save* button should be an automatic..but u could also screenshot it and create the playlist whenever ur ready! Just a thought..
