Remove the new “Resuming (insert playlist/ song here)“ feature

The feature is not only annoying it’s broken and if you search on Reddit about the new feature you will see it’s very unpopular and I’m not the only one with this complaint.
When you resume playing from Spotify in a car, it has a 3-second A.I. voice saying “Resuming (insert song or playlist.”

Its annoying that you cant just go back to listening to your music, BUT also it turns off shuffle and repeat. So if you were shuffling a playlist or album you have to go back to the app and turn it on again.

If spotify is going to keep this feature it would be great to have a setting to turn it off or on because a lot of people agree its really annoying.

It's genuinely difficult to believe that this is happening. The most expensive UX designers in the world can't buy you an ounce of common sense. There are plenty of people who used Spotify as a quick go-to in professional settings that this is a dealbreaker for. I just cannot fathom what they're thinking.

maristellar

happy to find people that dislike it as much as i do. furious to find that it doesn't have a disable option. PLEASE GET RID OF THIS!!!!! makes me want to stop paying for the premium feature if i have to deal with this.

jesheffie

Please add an option to disable this feature, it is so frustrating and awkward when it blasts at max volume

Everyone hates this feature! Please remove it asap!

Please get rid of this or at least give us the choice to turn it off.  One of the most pointless additions in a line of pointless additions from Spotify.  I simply refuse to believe anyone actually wanted this.  Stop trying to fix things that aren’t broke!!  17 pages of people telling you they don’t like it and you don’t think it might be a good idea to get rid of this “feature”?

mstoltze

Immediately fire whoever thought this was a good idea. And fire anyone that didn't push back when it was first suggested. Fire and burn any decision maker that allowed it to be released to the public. Please get competent UX designers.

It is kind of shocking to me that after this much negative feedback we haven't seen any kind of action or even a comment about it. I really hope there's something happening behind the scenes to either provide an "off" option or remove this **bleep**.

I just cancelled my subscription and will be using apple music. You can transfer your playlists using the app songshift. This just shows how out of touch Spotify is with their consumers. Also interrupting the experience to recommend new albums like Taylor Swift and other pop artists that are not even similar to what I actually listen to.

This feature literally makes me want to crash my car into a tree

I can’t really add anything new to the conversation.

I absolutely hate this.

I made the whole profile here just to tell Spotify I hate this.
