Sort Public Playlists by Songs I Liked

Status: Live Idea
0 Likes

Description
Currently, when listening to a public playlist on Spotify, I can "like" individual songs by adding them to my library. However, there’s no way to re-order or filter the playlist based on which songs I’ve already liked. This makes it hard to quickly find and replay my favorite tracks within large or frequently updated playlists.

Proposed Feature

  • Add an option to sort or filter songs in a public playlist by “Liked Songs.”

  • When enabled, all songs that I’ve liked from that playlist appear at the top.

  • Maintain the ability to return to the original playlist order at any time.

Benefits

  • Makes discovering and re-listening to favorites more seamless.

  • Encourages more engagement with public playlists.

  • Saves users from manually creating duplicate playlists just to keep track of liked songs.

Example Use Case
I’m listening to a 500+ track curated public playlist. I’ve liked around 40 songs, but when I come back later, I have to scroll and scan the entire list to find them. With this feature, I could simply toggle “Sort by Liked” and instantly see only the songs I’ve enjoyed.
