Spotify media control or playback widget for Mac OS

Hi guys, I think would be really cool and practical to have a Widget for Mac OS Sonoma that allow us to switch/play or pause the songs we are playing in the Spotify app of our Mac's.

This will help us to quickly change the song or see the name of the songs and information without opening again the Spotify app.
Image something like this:
You are a software engineer coding something and then you just want to see the name of the song it's playing and as simple as using the hot corners of Mac OS and just hover the mouse in the corner of the screen and you see your Spotify widget.

See attachment below:
Thanks guys!!

I second this! Would be a great feature to implement into MacOS

The Miniplayer is great for some people, but for many others it's nicer to have the controls in the widget sidebar so you don't have to give up a portion of your screen.

Come on Spotify, even Pandora has a widget.

My bet is it has something to do with the Spotify x Apple beef.

I'd imagine they don't allow Spotify to have this feature in order to promote Apple Music.

This is a great idea!... but that would mean Spotify would actually have to invest in its own product which would take away from corporate and investor profits. Sometimes I wish Apple Music would come up with some way to migrate everything from Spotify (playlists, etc.).

Second this! Not just the iOS widget that has just playlist options, I want a widget that has ‘now playing’ view with play, pause, skip, shuffle etc buttons. Seems so obvious!

It would be really helpful to add a play/pause button the Home Screen widget.
