Volume normalization on all platforms

I find that the Spotify TV app lacks the audio normalization feature that apps for other devices have, so the listening experience is nowhere near as good as it could be. Hopefully this lack will be filled.

Got the same issue. Bought an Argon Stream 2 and for some reason there are NO way to set up anything under settings. It really pisses me off that one can buy a rather expensive unit and then there are no way to setup so that the experience is the same as from my laptop or my phone but instead I have the flat standard settings...

Hope this will improve as it is frustrating to not be able to have crossfade etc etc. It was not mentioned anywhere when I bought my streamer device that all the settings would not be able to function.

First of all: Spotify Connect is great.

We use a bunch of devices throughout the house and love it.

BUT, playback volume varies greatly on playlists, I seem to be constantly reaching for the remote or one of my Spotify applications to adjust the volume of the speakers. 

 

We really need a normalization playback for volumes to make the experience top notch (again)!

Verry annoying. I thought I mentioned it already a few years ago but i am not sure it was in this community.

Please fix this problem AND the shuffle problem.

Trying to listen to a playlist or radio station featuring a mixture of older and newer songs, or songs from multiple genres, is an incredibly frustrating experience at present and leads to constant diving for the volume control.

 

It seems to me that this issue is causing a huge number of people grief, but is not being properly recognised because it is unclear whose responsibility it is (i.e. Spotify vs. hardware manufacturers), leading to reporting of the issue being spread over multiple tickets and multiple brands' forums. As the base of users reporting this issue has been so fragmented, many of these tickets have consequently been closed with no response from Spotify due to low activity.

 

I use Amazon Echo products and a PS4 at home, as well as a Sonos at work, and all of these display the same issue. A quick Google will reveal that the issue has been reported multiple times on both the Spotify and Sonos forums. I'm sure it has been reported elsewhere also.

I have produced a similar list of tickets on the Sonos forums, but rather unhelpfully it appears that external links are not allowed here.

 

Regardless, this is clearly a widespread issue, and volume normalisation for Spotify Connect devices has obviously been a much-requested feature for a long time. Can we therefore please have some official indication that this issue has been recognised and is being addressed, either internally by Spotify or in partnership with the relevant hardware vendors as appropriate?

There are so many requests for this feature over the years, yet they don't implement it.

As soon as Apple has a similar solution, i switch to Apple Music.

All, please ensure your friends and family also vote here. Spotify will only work on this if they see that this is really wanted. Unfortunately it seems that the topic has never had enough LIKEs before. So help get this rolling and we might be surprised (or move to a different vendor).
