Volume normalization on all platforms

I find that the Spotify TV app lacks the audio normalization feature that apps for other devices have, so the listening experience is nowhere near as good as it could be. Hopefully this lack will be filled.

Comments

It would be a great feature if it could add audio normalization to Spotify connect. It’s annoying to adjust the volume on every track of a playlist.

I just almost blew my ears out while streaming music from my iPhone to my AirPlay-compatible amp because I wasn't aware that the Spotify app "helpfully" disables the normalization feature when "listening on another device", as the app puts it.

As far as the app is concerned, my amp (and any other class of audio stream receiver I can think of) is just a dumb set of speakers with no additional functionality and not "another device". Why normalization is active for headphones but not actual speakers is beyond me. Please, for the sake of ears everywhere, reconsider this.

How can this be such a low priority topic? I've bought myself a superior high tech set and I have to keep the remote control in my hand to control the volume levels all the time. Bluesound blames Spotify, Spotify blames Bluesound. Nice!

It's really annoying to have to constantly correct the volume on my Google Nest Mini.

On PC or Mobile, I can just set the volume for one song and forget about it in the knowledge that subsequent songs will roughly match that same volume. This is not possible with Google Home / Nest devices. I would expect that this is the same for Chromecasts.

How about adding up all the Kudos over the numerous posts about this problem since at least 2014.  This is a serious usability issue.  If there's a technical reason why this can't be done, or is too hard, just say so!

When I play music on BlueSound speakers through Spotify Connect, some tracks are way louder than others.  Having some invites, I was continiously adjusting the volume with the controller on ipad. Please add this so that every song plays at the same volume through Connect.
