[Your Library] Confirm to Delete/dislike or an Undo button

I love seeing my liked songs in chronological order as I can relive my past through the music i listened to at the time, but when i am clicked on a song that i liked 2 years ago and accidentally hit delete, it's moment is completely erased from that period and moves all the way up to the top @present when I re-like it.

I know I may seem dramatic but this literally breaks my heart.

The delete button is right next to my volume up button so this happens a lot.

Additionally, I sometimes am clicked on  a song and accidentally hit delete and I have no clue what I had deleted. This is the worst because I sometimes never find what I had lost. Also simply swiping on the mobile is way too easy to delete, i always do this too. Also please dont suggest I add all my liked songs to a playlist because it will be tiring to add every song i like to this. Plus I like having my liked songs be my main library.

I just accidentally removed 1,700+ songs from my liked songs when I intended to remove them from a playlist. There should absolutely be a warning or confirmation prompt before an action like that is carried out. Thankfully (and ironically), the songs were not removed from the playlist I mentioned, so I was able to move them back to my liked songs. The sad part is, these songs dated back to 2015. I had them all in chronological order and would often take musical trips down memory lane, and now I can't.

!!! SPOTIFY !!!: LISTEN TO YOUR USERS. WE DON'T WANT TO LOSE ALL OF THE MUSIC WE HAVE SPENT YEARS DISCOVERING AND ACCUMULATING. ADD A PROMPT.

damnnn that hurt me reading that 😧 yeah i feel like many other people are also very sentimental about their music too. You can never retrieve the stats again unlike itunes (a similar issue happened to me on itunes but the files hold data in them eternally so i could retrieve the dates) i reallly really cant think of other issues with the platform that are worse than this one.

This is a part of other music services and other services that we use every day, like email. Almost everything you do in email pops up an undo option in case you have no idea what you just deleted or archived, etc. I get stress just tapping the 3 dots menu or the play/pause button in-app because it is too easy to accidentally unlike a song and happens too often. I have done it a number of times. Liked songs are a timeline of life history. I can go back and remember the moment a song was added or the time period of a group of added songs. Having songs removed and reordered to the top ruins the timeline in multiple places each time and breaks up albums when all songs were liked together. Please help us all out here.

This was already proposed here https://community.spotify.com/t5/Closed-Ideas/Your-Library-Confirm-to-Delete-dislike-or-an-Undo-butt... but it was closed due to lack of votes.

It's really easy to accidentally dislike a song and as mentioned in the previous post, it ruins the chronological order of the songs in one's library and it's super annoying. I associate songs with different times in my life and this is a great way to keep check of it.

It wouldn't be so hard to just ask for a confirmation to remove a song from the likes.

'Confirm to delete' maybe not be the best idea, but certainly 'Undo' is needed. e.g., an 'Undo' button that will disappear in 5 seconds

God please re-open this, I feel it's such a simple but necessary addition

Why did Spotify remove the Undo function, ctrl + z, now if I add back a song, I can't see the original date it was added to my playlist. This sucks because some songs are sentimental to a time period bruhhh
