let users remove audiobooks and podcast categories from homepage

I have never, and will never, listen to a podcast or audiobook. I am not a podcast or audiobook person. I have never and I will never click on anything in these categories, but they take up a huge part of my homescreen, and for whatever reason, audiobooks are at the very top of my homepage. I just don't want to see it. If you're paying premium, you should be able to customize what you see on that homescreen. I should be able to right click the category and remove it entirely. Not individual audiobooks or podcast episodes, but the entire category. Spotify could pay me, and I still wouldn't want to listen to an audiobook.

If you absolutely must to advertise to me, why not advertise something effective on my homescreen? You know what I spend money on: exclusive vinyl or merch from the bands I listen to the most. I'd still rather be able to have what I want on my homescreen, but if it's a nonstarter to have total user control, advertise something I actually want to see, that I've spent money on before through the emails Spotify sends when artists have unique vinyl available. I've bought those items multiple times, and yet you're trying to get me to listen to such "gems" as A Good Girl: A Rockstar Romance and Stranded with the Seal ....? 🤢

Please give users the option to remove these categories from their homescreen. I have attached the screenshot of the annoying erotica covers of the audiobooks I am forced to look at every single day when I start up Spotify so you can see how obnoxious they are.

I am using another application for my podcasts and audiobooks, and I don't want to use Spotify for this.

Please, let me focus on music, and stop sending messages about "the podcast I may like" or "the audiobooks for you".

Please, please, please, keep in mind some users are happy with their podcasts and audiobooks applications, and don't want to have advertisements for this on their Spotify screen.

Another vote to take this off. My son is part of our Spotify account. I have the explicit toggle set to off, yet the audiobooks don’t have this feature. It’s showing him pornographic images associated with certain audio books. I’m aware there’s Spotify kids but find the music very limited on that. Please allow the removal of podcasts or at the very least, have them rated so when the explicit content toggle is off, that **bleep** can be removed.

Search is now getting cluttered with “Access with listening hours” **bleep** content that has marginal/zero relevance to the terms.  Please allow users to turn off audiobooks.  Mixing music/podcast/audiobook content is really painful to sort through..

I’d still love this option! Now I get videos playing of podcasts even though I have all video play turned off. I don’t want audiobooks, I don’t want podcasts. The suggested options are not at all anything I would listen to and sometimes are offensive. I would really like an option to hide it all.

It's great that Spotify supports audiobooks and podcasts however not ever user cares about those things, and perhaps some don't care about music... That would be weird but still. I would love the ability to flip a toggle so that podcasts and audiobooks don't show up in the UI. They clutter the interface and distract from the only thing I care about in the app, the MUSIC.

It's extremely aggravating to pay a premium and still have to tolerate forced ads. No matter the spin that's tried to put on it, these are effectively banner ads that force music enthusiasts to scroll and manually filter extra undesired audiobooks and content out of their regular listenings. Respect your users and at the very least allow premium users to have an opt out setting. There are already enough undesirable political and artist commerce compromises many of us accept to keep using this app, don't pile onto it more.
