let users remove audiobooks and podcast categories from homepage

I have never, and will never, listen to a podcast or audiobook. I am not a podcast or audiobook person. I have never and I will never click on anything in these categories, but they take up a huge part of my homescreen, and for whatever reason, audiobooks are at the very top of my homepage. I just don't want to see it. If you're paying premium, you should be able to customize what you see on that homescreen. I should be able to right click the category and remove it entirely. Not individual audiobooks or podcast episodes, but the entire category. Spotify could pay me, and I still wouldn't want to listen to an audiobook.

If you absolutely must to advertise to me, why not advertise something effective on my homescreen? You know what I spend money on: exclusive vinyl or merch from the bands I listen to the most. I'd still rather be able to have what I want on my homescreen, but if it's a nonstarter to have total user control, advertise something I actually want to see, that I've spent money on before through the emails Spotify sends when artists have unique vinyl available. I've bought those items multiple times, and yet you're trying to get me to listen to such "gems" as A Good Girl: A Rockstar Romance and Stranded with the Seal ....? 🤢

Please give users the option to remove these categories from their homescreen. I have attached the screenshot of the annoying erotica covers of the audiobooks I am forced to look at every single day when I start up Spotify so you can see how obnoxious they are.

Giving this a bump, because it needs attention. If you can't let me hide audiobooks and podcasts from my home screen as an entire category, then at least let me reject specific suggestions. It's bad enough to be paying a company that's making Joe Rogan rich, it's even worse when you put thumbnails from his show, or Jordan Peterson's audiobook, or the king james bible audiobook, right on my home screen. I'm paying you for background music while I work, not for your "suggestions" to anger me to the point of distraction.

I nearly canceled Premium already once this month; if you can't straighten this out I suspect next time I'll go through with it and go back to Apple Music.

1000% This, down to the specific examples. The insanity that there's not a "NO THANKS" option to ANYTHING is inFURIATING.

Likewise, it's even worse with their new "For You" nonsense, where they put a single audiobook or podcast in its own row, when it absolutely has nothing to do with anything you've ever listened to or followed, AND IS NOTHING BUT A BLANKET ASTROTURFING AD.

Stop lying to my face, Spotify. Putting ads in my already cramped feed, for a Premium customer, along with the completely non-tailored podcast row is bad enough-- but to also LIE about it and pretend like it's relevant to my interests?!! That doesn't even make any sense from a purely coercive and user-hostile standpoint, because it does nothing but make me angry and want to go elsewhere.

I was going to create my own thing but apparently this is close enough. I do like audiobooks I guess in theory but I never listen to them. My feed, which does have explicit content turned off, is showing a **bleep** guide. I use Spotify in public and don't want people thinking I listen to books about having better **bleep**. I cannot remove the book suggestion and if I go to rate it (low to make it go away), it says I need to listen to it first. I know if I do that it will show up as something I'm interested in, which I'm not.

Should I just report it for sexual content? I don't want to get in trouble. Thank you.

I opened my desktop and mobile app for spotify and found extremely inappropiate audio books in my suggested for me lists - I have no interest or wish to see them how do I disable / turn off content suggestions for audio books and pod casts

I accidentally clicked on an audio book once , it has has since then took up a one of the 8 spots at the top of my start page , and I'm unable to get rid of it, and it would help if the filter on the top would be saved so I can set it to music because that's all I'm interested in.....

Had to vote for this, currently getting audio books recommended about transexual feminization, support recommended listening to other titles so the recommendations will change. Its a joke, I listen to half an audiobook about ADHD and these are the recommendations I now get. wth!
