Branching out from Taylor Swift

Branching out from Taylor Swift

I have a friend who mostly just listens to Taylor Swift, but wants to start branching out into other artists/genres. I wanted to bring this to the community, since I know there are a lot of great music thoughts here. Where would you suggest that she start?

Her favorite TS albums are:

  • Folklore/Evermore
  • 1989
  • Lover

Some of her favorite TS songs are:

  • Clean
  • peace
  • happiness

Based on these tastes, where would you suggest she go next?

A howling hello to you mauve_minnow!

It's great that your friend wants to explore new music! Given her love for Taylor Swift's albums like Folklore, Evermore, 1989, and Lover, as well as her favorite songs like Clean, peace, and happiness, I'd recommend she start by exploring the indie folk and pop genres. Here are some artists and albums to consider:

• Mumford & Sons: Albums like “Sigh No More” and “Babel” offer a blend of folk and indie sounds.

• Bon Iver: “For Emma, Forever Ago” and “Bon Iver” are excellent choices for indie folk enthusiasts.

Encourage her to explore these artists and albums, and she'll likely find some new favorites in the process!
