Inviting to collaborative playlist

How do you make a collaborative playlist? The invite link won't give either of us the option to join or add to the playlist.

You hit the options button (the 3 dots), the copy the link  or use the other share options to invite people. Are you the one that's sending or receiving the invitation link? Is this your playlist or someone else's? Take screenshots of what you see.
