I still stand by comment, but I am also about good lyrics. That doesn't go for just anything; The lyrics really have to be at least fitting, but I really like it, when songs are meaningful and have deep lyrics.
I meant to do this last night, but it was late. I just discovered a rap song, through a video (not a music video), that has really good lyrics, at least for the most part. They're extreme and extremely relevant.
It's not likely that I'll start listening to it, but I will most likely share it. I also like a controversial, but not inappropriate quote that I saw that was credited to him.
Anyway, check out Tom McDonald's latest release, as of January 29th, this year.
Listen. Just because you stopped listening to rap doesn't make it overrated. Like someone said above this, everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
Please.
Thank you.
Hey. I understand how you feel about rap, and you have a point.
However, some people do like rap. I feel we should keep our opinions to ourselves, and no drama will come up. Thanks!
Have a nice day.

I definitely feel like great hip hop/rap will always be there. You just gotta know where to look. In a market that is totally saturated with BS - you gotta dig up the gems and maybe get some new recommendations from friends who you respect and you like their taste in music. But with that said, game-changing artists don't come along every month..
Hello there, FredNukes.
Like I've been repeating up in the replies above this, everyone has their own opinions.
You are saying, "In a market that is totally saturated with BS---------" Personally, I don't listen to rap much. But, this is a community post. Everyone here is different in their own ways. Some people think that rap is horrible, some only listen to a select few rappers, some people only listen to rap; you get my point. What I'm trying to say is; you're saying that this market is saturated with BS. That is your opinion. I feel differently. So do some other people. Game changing artists don't necessarily every month. OP making this post was a waste of everyone's time. People need to learn that we all have our own opinions, and that there isn't a right and wrong for everyone. Not everybody, but some people. I'm sorry if I'm coming across as rude. Trust me, that's nowhere near my intention. I just want to let people know that no genre of music is "good" or "bad."
Please.
Thanks, Axi.
Over-rated, or over-saturated?
That is the question.
Hello, Cardynl_Music.
Your question is:
Over-rated, or over-saturated?
My answer is: none. It isn't good or bad, or full of BS.
No artist is good or bad, let it be rap or any genre.
Please.
Thanks, Axi.
I kind of agree but disagree at the same time, but everyone has their own preferrences I suppose, and some rap songs are actually pleasant to the ears.
The question @Cardnyl_Music asked was a good one, and perhaps what should be asked instead of whether the genre is overrated.
They asked: "Over-rated or over-saturated?"
The mainstream part of the genre is super popular, so it's I think expected to see things becoming saturated. There are artists that move forward, but there are also many of those that rinse-repeat. : )
But like all genres, this one also has subgenres and they're all different from one another and not all of it has mainstream attention...
Hello there.
I do see what your point is. But, you can't really say that [insert genre of music] is saturated. That's opinion. There are differences between facts and opinions.
It all really depends. I like rap for what it is, however, I do not like the turn of rap itself. Nowadays rap is mostly talking about drugs, **bleep**, etc. Not really my style, I like songs that have good melodies and meaningful words behind them. Some rap out there fits this criteria, but most don't.
Hey there, Spotifier!
You do have a point. Remember what I've said the past few replies though-
Opinion and facts are different. We all have our own opinions, nothing wrong with that at all. We don't want to disrespect anybody, however. No genre is "good" or "bad" to every single person. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
no i listen only rap
I do agree. Few talented rappers - but most are not worth the listen.
Rap is music, bro.
I never listen to rap so i'm not too comfortable making a valid opinion on this topic
recently been thinking the same thing!
i've been slowly straying away from the mainstream rap scene and have started finding a liking to old-school rnb and soul music.
i still occasionally listen to rap but its not necessarily mainstream rappers 🙂 (i listen to a lot of underground rappers such as destroy lonely, i find their sound to be quite different to the current trending mainstream rap music)
