Share songs with surprising changes

Do you enjoy listening to any songs, where at some point in the track, the song changes in a way that causes you to feel surprised?

If so, feel free to share a link to the track, as well as to describe what you’d consider to be the most surprising moment in the song.

One such song that I enjoy listening to is “Harmony” by the psychedelic stoner rock band Bentrees:

In particular, it’s the chord change that occurs at roughly 2 minutes and 13 seconds into the track that seems to catch me off-guard every time I listen to this song; for some reason, I don’t expect the guitar and bass to play this chord progression here in that particular key, but I think it sounds quite nice anway, and perhaps adds to the relaxing, “floating” sensation that this song sometimes causes me to experience.

Hey @AdamDamon, here's mine:

I think it's such a well-crafted song. It mixes upbeat, disco pop/rock vibes with really emotional lyrics, which makes for a cool and surprising contrast. It starts off simple and slowly builds, and by the time she’s repeating “nobody,” it goes from catchy to kind of haunting and heartbreaking. That tension between the fun sound and the loneliness in the lyrics is what makes it hit so hard. Mitski’s voice is super controlled but still full of feeling—it's what really pulls everything together 😎

Yes sometimes a song can catch you off guard with some unexpected suprises: For me, was this song, full symphonic metal with orchestrations and I thought the song would go full metal for 9:26 minutes and boy was I wrong.😅

Thanks for sharing, @Bittencourt and @RayyW0! These are very nice examples; just the sort of songs with surprising changes that I was hoping to hear about. Cheers!
