Spotify CEO Invests $694 Million in Military AI Startup

Spotify's CEO, Daniel Ek, has recently invested $694 million in Helsing, a military AI startup. He has also been named chairman. Personally, I do not want my money from the Premium membership being funnelled into building drones and bombs that will likely be used to continue US oppression around the world, including in Gaza, Palestine, along the US-Mexico border, etc. Our money should be going towards paying artists, authors, and Spotify employees fair wages, not to stuff the pockets of the CEO and his Zionist, genocidal, AI obsession. I have cancelled my Premium subscription this week and have contacted Spotify through multiple channels in protest of all this, and demanding that they cut ties with Daniel Ek, Helsing, and other forms of militarization and AI.

So, time to switch to platform which is made for human being. Let the CEO go this way and create 'music' for AI .

AI will listen its own 'music' with love. Greedy company going to fast end. Good luck Daniel ! I don't respect people who think they are God.

Hello, I switched to « Anghami ». It’s a lebanese streaming platform that has no aim to invest in militarization. Try it out, it’s actually not bad, and you can also import your Spotify or Youtube playlists pretty easily

great news we would love to see what will happen with this AI

While I agree with your sentiment, He's based in Sweden and Helsing (Skynet?) is based in Germany. While both are NATO members and allies of the US (Germany a little closer than Sweden), it's not like he's part of the US Military Industrial Complex... yet.

I just wanted to clarify that point. He's an independent P.O.S. for now.

it is a great news in the defense section and i hope you will get the success in this startup as well.

I completely agree with you. I also don’t want my subscription funding military projects and questionable investments. I’ll be looking for another streaming service that is reliable and, preferably, includes the full King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard catalog.
