Podcast episodes start over from the beginning on Android

We’ve received reports that podcast episodes lose their listening progress and are starting over from the beginning. This is happening only on Android, when the following criteria are met:

• the episode is started from a playlist - be it a personal one or Your Episodes;
• the small white "Play" button on the right is used. When tapping on the episode title and using the big green "Play" button instead, the app remembers the progress and episodes continue as normal.

My Question or Issue

Recently I've noticed when selecting a podcast from the "Your Library" section in the android app, if I play a podcast that I've already started, instead of playing where I left off, the podcast starts playing from the start again and I have to skip through to find where I last listened up to. For additional context, my Your Episodes list is filtered by downloaded episodes and sorted Oldest to Newest.

Happening to me as well on a Pixel 9a, started occuring the last few days, and occurs when switching from one podcast within the "your episodes".

Hopefully this can be resolved soon or I'll have to switch podcasts apps as I frequently switch podcasts without finishing one.

Hi, 

I am also having the same issue, and have not found a solution to the problem yet. It's been increasingly frustrating having to scrub through my podcasts in order to continue where I left off any time I switch between shows/music.

Same thing on Galaxy Fold 6, very annoying. If i want to switch between two podcasts in a playlist, every time I switch, the player snaps to the start of the podcast. Logged out everywhere, reinstalled, nothing on our end works. FIX THIS BUG
