Premium users hearing ads

I just started having this issue as well. Was listening to an album and got two random ads totalling a minute in the middle of the album. Obviously I am a premium user. Not acceptable.

I'm having similar issues but when casting from the app. When playing on my phone it's fine but as soon as I connect to the speaker it won't let me turn off shuffle and starts playing ads. My husband has the same issue and we're both on Premium Family

My Question or Issue

I am a long-time subscriber to the Premium Individual Plan, specifically to avoid ads, and I have just been served ads while listening to music. I was NOT listening to a sponsored podcast or anything similar. Just a regular playlist. My subscription is paid and updated. How is that possible?

I'm having exactly the same problem. Premium family, ads on both the desktop (via browser) and the app on Android 14.

I have had a premium family plan for years, and this morning I got an extremely disruptive ad

Can't find a way to actually contact tech support, but I guess that's what happens when you cut your workforce by thousands of people

If this isn't resolved today, I'm cancelling my spotify account for my whole family, this is absolute**bleep**

I just had that problem. I was listening to music on chrome, and suddenly I was surprised by an ad. I have a premium family account.

What can I do?

 This just happened to me! I was listening to music recommended by the app, and an ad from Spotify itself was activated even though the account was Premium.

I'm also getting ads on PC (Chrome on Windows 11) and Android.
