Songs in Play queue are duplicated

Hey folks!

 

We've received reports that deleting or adding songs in the play queue creates duplicates. This issue only seems to affect the mobile app and playlists with over 50 songs. This is being looked into.

Hi there folks,

 

We can confirm that this issue should be resolved as long as you're updated to the following app versions:

  • Desktop: 1.2.44.329
  • Android: 8.9.66.358
  • iOS: 8.9.66.288

This issue has still not been fixed. It's been over a month. I used to edit my queue all the time and now i can't. The advertisements claim you can listen to any song in any order with premium. Now you can't. I've cancelled my subscription due to this. If it's not fixed before my subscription runs out on the 12th, you're losing an 8 year loyal customer.

I think it's worth mentioning that this isn't just happening for me when you clear songs from your queue, there are duplicates showing regardless.

My main playlist is 2265 songs, I have just shuffled it, not cleared anything from the queue, but the same song is showing multiple times.

Hi, I've just updated the app on my phone, and the issue is still there! That's kind of disappointing, because it has been said that the problem had been fixed a few days ago. I hope it's going to get (actually!) fixed soon!

I've also just updated my app and can also confirm that this issue is not fixed!!! I've attached a screenshot that I took a few minutes ago showing that the issue is still there. My app version is 8.9.64.548, my device is a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G running Android 14.

@Novy You really should remove the "fixed" status on this thread, I think it's incredibly clear that despite the new app update supposedly patching this bug, users are still experiencing the issue that has been occurring for over a month now.

I've just checked and I also still have this issue, that "fixed" needs to be removed ASAP what an absolute disgrace

The issue is not fixed. I still have this issue on the desktop app and the mobile app. The web app still has no issues.

This is not fixed. Very annoying to deal with shuffle and songs later duplicating if removed from a large playlist for random reasons. The UI application changes have issues (PC). Have installed and updated many times but nothing addresses it. 

 

 

By THE WAY - does not "only affect mobile app", it affects PC application as well.

I just went to Google Play Store and it prompted me to update the app. So naturally I checked to see if the duplication glitch had been fixed. It's still broken. There's only 3 days before my subscription ends. This is a huge issue and I'm really mad about it. Fix it and let me know when you do, Spotify. I've given you guys a lot of money and I'm about to stop.

It's still broken. Fix this or lose a loyal customer you've had for the better part of a decade.

I can also confirm this issue is still live, even after the most recent update.

Side note: Why can't I see the patch notes for an update? When I click 'What's new?' it just has some waffle about how you're constantly improving Spotify and to please turn on automatic updates.
