Playlist not shuffling

My Question or Issue

Anytime I try to play a song from my library and shuffle/add songs to my queue, my queue replaces those selected songs and only plays songs from ONE of my playlists and does not shuffle those songs. It's always the same playlist in the queue and plays the songs in alphabetical order by artist. The shuffle option is on, I have tried adding different songs into the queue from different playlists but it doesn't play those songs. I have deleted the app and restarted the phone but then I have to redownload the app and all my songs. It'll work for a few days and then goes back to the original problem of not shuffling my queue or playlists. I only have this issue on my iPhone but it works fine on my Mac. My iPhone and Spotify app are downloaded to the most recent versions. This has been happening for weeks, even with multiple Spotify updates and I'm tired of it. Is there a way to erase/clear the queue?

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what has helped solve this annoying bug?
