Problem playing my playlists on Amazon Echo 2

Problem playing my playlists on Amazon Echo 2

Plan: Premium (Family)

Country: UK

Device:  Amazon Echo 2

I'm trying to play my playlist on Spotify using Alexa voice commands, but it can't find playlist not published by 'Spotify'.

  • Case 1: I have a playlist called "Piano", and when I say 'Alexa, play on Spotify my piano playlist', it says 'Sorry, but I can't find that playlist'.
  • Case 2: Spotify user has a playlist called "Lounge - Soft House", and when I say 'Alexa, play the Lounge - Soft House playlist' or 'Alexa, play on Spotify the Lounge - Soft House playlist', it launches Spotify with that playlist.
  • Case 3: I have a playlist called "Rock-Legends", and, as in the first case, it doesn't find the playlist.

The Solution of your problem is simple.

Alexa can only find official playlists. That doesn't mean only from spotify but Alexa can't find your local playlist.

You have to change your playlist to "official" and then Alexa can find it.

Check out this page: Playlist Privacy

Hope this was helpful

If official playlist means public, yes... they all are public but Alexa can't find them.

Thank you very much for your response.
