Blackberry 9900 Playlists not syncing properly

I have a Blackberry 9900 with the latest version of Spotify installed. When I modify a playlist on my laptop using Spotify, the change is not mirrored on my Blackberry when syncing. Instead, some sort of mismatch involving a combination of old songs that USED to be on the playlist and current songs in the wrong order appear.

An ongoing Spotify issue; one of many. Fantastically cheap, but poor quality (the Primark of media applications); I am at end of my Spotify Premium tether.

Are there any solutions?

The BlackBerry application hasn't been updated in well over a year since the platform is pretty much dead now that BB10 is out (and Spotify aren't supported it either). 

 

When this happened to me, normally doing a playlist reset from the settings menu would work, but you have to hit the button then leave the phone alone for hours to wait for it to sync again! 😞
