Bring Shuffle and Repeat back to the main Playback controls

Bring Shuffle and Repeat back to the main Playback controls

In the recent IPhone/Ipad 8.8.37.574 Spotify release, you removed the Shuffle and Repeat controls from the playback controls… to the left and right of the Previous / Next track buttons.  You’re replaced it with an add to playlist / remove from playlist button.  And now Shuffle and Repeat are hidden in a sub-menu.  It’s more logical to keep it the way you had it, with all the playback controls together: Shuffle, Previous Track, Play/Pause, Next Track, Repeat.   The options to add and remove songs from playlist seem like a more specialized function to hide in a submenu.   Go back to the way you had it.  Spotify was already perfect.

Hey @Mangelou,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We hope you don't mind us moving your post out of the ideas section to one of our Help boards as it fits better here.

That being said, we'd like to add some insights. It's expected to see the add + or remove - buttons on your Daily mixes, Discovery weekly, or Release radar right next to the playback buttons. It looks like this on the iPad:

Nevertheless, on other types of playlists, like the ones you create, you can see both the shuffle and repeat buttons as usual:

So, in this case, if you can't see the repeat and shuffle buttons on all playlists (no matter which playlist you select), please let us know. If that's the case, it'll be really helpful if you can send us some screenshots of what you see on your side.

Hope this clears things up. Keep us in the loop!
