[Community] Clarify Purpose of Ideas Platform

Many times I search for a feature and find how to do it, only to discover I am unable to do it in the current version.

Then I discover multiple Idea's to have the feature implemented.

There are ideas with 15,000+ votes, and without implementation.

Many ideas are duplicated, each with different amount of votes.

What's the purpose of this Ideas platform?

I ask because the input from the community seems an afterthought at best for Spotify priorities, and I wonder if everyone here is just wasting their time?
