Connection issues with chromecast audio

My Question or Issue

I have trouble connecting my chromecast audio with Spotify. When I try to play music and I put the phone away or use another app, the music stops after one minute of not having Spotify active. I don't have this issue with Amazon music or Deezer, so it seems to be a problem with Spotify.

I have tried all common fixes (rebooting all devices, reinstalling the app etc.).

Is there probably a setting I have to change?
