My Issue

When I'm listening with crossfade on, it isn't crossfading at all but straight skipping to the next song x seconds before the previous song ends.

I guess x is the time set in the crossfade setting.

This occurs, when I'm listening from the play queue and also with the first song in a playlist. I can't say for sure it's happening with every song change after the first in the playlist or e.g. albums.

Hey there,

i am having the same issue.

The first dong in my Liked songs jumps to the next song how ever many seconds i put into Crossfade.

The same thing happens if i listen to an Artist an let the recommendet songs play afterwards the last song from the artist is cut short like the fist in my liked songs.

My Question or Issue

Hello,

the Spotify Client for Windows has the same issue like the Android App, that the Crossfader does not work anymore and the song just switches to the next song and does not fade.

Android Topic:

https://community.spotify.com/t5/Android/Crossfade-suddenly-skips-to-next-song/m-p/5636196#M202535

After installing the lastest update for Windows the issue is not fixed.

Spotify für Windows (64 Bit)
1.2.20.1218.g02aff7a4

Steps to reproduce:

- Got to settings and set up the fader at the end of a song. (In my case 8 seconds)

- Go to your Artist sidebar and just click play on an Artist that is currently not playing

- Drag the song time bar to nearly the end of the song

- At exactly 8 seconds from the end, where the fader should start, the song ends and the next song starts playing

Hey there! This is still an issue on Windows, on version
Spotify for Windows (64 bit)
1.2.20.1218.g02aff7a4

Hey folks,

We've moved this out of the Android board since other platforms were also affected. For anyone still experiencing this on desktop, note that it should be resolved in the next app update.

Thanks for your patience!

I searched on every forum on internet and eventually end up fixing this by working crossfades in the Music app on your iPhone, but here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to fix it:-

1. Check Compatibility:-

1. iOS version:- Crossfade is only available on iOS 17 and later. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and update your iPhone if necessary.
2. Music type:- Crossfade only works with playlists, not for individual songs, radio stations, or albums played straight through.
2. Enable Crossfade:-

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Scroll down and tap Music.
3. Toggle on the switch for Crossfade.
4. You can also adjust the Crossfade duration to your preference.

What has happened to cross fade and equaliser. I can't use them. No access when on settings. It's only happened since they've changed plans. I'm on individual premium.
