Deleting recently played podcasts and songs

My Question or Issue

Hello everyone, this is rather embarrassing but is there a way to delete or remove podcasts and songs from the "Recently Played" and "Your Shows" category? I have a shared Premium Family account with my younger brother, which I pay for the subscription for, and he's been looking up some creepy/inappropriate things that I am uncomfortable with seeing and don't want my friends or other family to see when they use my account. 
Any advice or help would be so much appreciated

We're afraid it's not possible to delete those sections' content at the moment. 

However, it looks like it's something other users would enjoy as well and posted this idea. Despite its current status, you can still add your vote to it and if anything changes in the future, we'll make sure to keep everyone updated over there.

On another note, keep in mind that the Spotify app is only for personal use. In this case, you can ask your brother to create an account so he can use the app too. You mentioned that you're the owner of a Premium Family plan so you can send him an invite to become a member. For more info, take a look at this article.

hi how do i delete a song/playlist of the boxes at the top ?

The ability to remove items from recently played and the suggestions at the top of the home page is extremely important.  I have a NSFW podcast stuck on my lists.  I use Spotify as the main music source in my car (Rivian) and these items are prominently displayed in the middle of dashboard, on view for everyone in the car.  Even aside from this, having unwanted items appear in the app window, phone or laptop, discourages collaborating with other people in choosing music.  If Spotify wasn't built into my car, I would cancel my service over the lack of this feature since I can get it elsewhere. FAIL!
