Fire TV, song is playing, but there is no sound

I was able to play spotify through my computer to the fire tv a few days ago. Today, there's no sound but the progress bar shows that the song is playing. Other apps play fine with sound on the fire tv, so it's no silly thing like I have it muted. When I change it back to playing on the computer, it plays fine on the laptop, so it's not a direct spotify issue. I have deleted the cache and data on the fire tv app. No help. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled it. No help. I've quit the spotify app on my computer and reopened it. Still no help. Any other ideas?
