Hey folks!

Just a follow-up here 🙂

Regarding the in-app messages with a 'Sponsored Recommendation' tag:

You’ll see them for artists you follow or listen to a lot and they will only appear when you first navigate to Home. They won’t interrupt your music listening experience.

Opting out of them is possible for Premium subscribers. To do so -  tap on
What's this? the next time you receive a notification. From there you can stop them from showing for the artist you've received the notification from, or stop them showing altogether.

Regarding the in-app concert recommendations:

It is not possible to turn off in-app concert recommendations (or any other in-app messages in general), unlike email and push notifications which are sent outside of the app and can be turned off. We're making improvements on this matter.

Hope this clears things up!

Like Ivan, I have also switched to Apple Music because of the constant ads in the spotify app. As it turns out I didn't know what I've bee missing. The musix on Apple Music sounds way better. Not to mention the ability to stream lossless audio, a feature which Spotify has been promising for years without delivering. On top of that, ... NO ADS for paying customers. I'ts really sad I have to mention this as a feature, but oh well.

Tony, would you find it annoying to be advertised a concert everyday, that you already purchased tickets to at the time of release? Because I find it insanely annoying.

actually I find any forced advertising while I’m paying my for a premium service to be annoying and it’s why I’m using Tidal.

forced Ads and forced smart shuffle killed Spotify.

My Question or Issue

I have been absolutely bombed by the one live event over the course of few months. I have never listened to her. From all the live concert recommendation emails I have received from Spotify during 2 years hers have been 6 out of 17

Also I have had to close this message box every time when I start Spotify

IDK looks like a bug to me...

Same, i’m debating moving to Apple music. Why would i wanna pay for ads.

How do I disable ads like live event and my screenshot form showing up. I don’t appreciate paying for ads and popups. This has been getting more and more and i’m willing to leave to Apple music because of ads.

My Question or Issue

How to remove advertisements in Spotify premium account. See image. Also concerts and other useless advertising.

Also having sponsored content recommendations pop up even though I've opted out - please fix this

I've had a Spotify subscription for years, and I pay for it with my credit card from my country. I checked that my profile is set up right. But I keep getting invites in the app for shows in New York City, which is like 5200 miles away from my place.

Spotify lose all of its premium customers challenge (they are winning)

But why am I receiving notifications for concerts in New York when I live in Buenos Aires? I checked my account settings, and it correctly states that I live in Argentina. Plus, I pay for the service with an Argentine credit card.

Imagine being severely immunocompromised, though, and having Spotify remind you every single day when your favorite bands are playing nearby -- only YOU CAN'T GO TO CONCERTS and it causes further depression and harm. It isn't just a breach of contract. I paid to get rid of ads so that I would not be bombarded with concert ads and they did it anyway. They absolutely need to be dragged into court by state attorneys.

still receiving these and incredibly annoying. please fix this now spotify. apple doesn’t do this going to switch.

We the customers have decided that “ad-free music listening” is deceptive language used to falsely advertise Spotify.

premium customers demand an AD-FREE APP EXPERIENCE.

That means:

no ads listening to music

no ads listening to podcasts

no recommendations for new artists as pop ups

no recommendations for concerts through banners and/or pop ups

WE ALSO DEMAND THE OPTION TO DISABLE SMART SHUFFLE FROM BEING AN OPTION, NO PREMIUM CUSTOMER WANTS SART SHUFFLE ATTACHED TO THE SHUFFLE OPTION.

SHUFFLE SHOULD TURN ON AND OFF SHUFFLE, and have NOTHING to do with smart shuffle.

Using Spotify has become a mini game of clicking the "not interested" button.

It's insane the. Amount of sponsored recommendations that I get on a daily basis.
It's even more perplexing when you read the help tool. " But remember—you’re in control. If you’re not interested in these recommendations, you can hide them."

The number of times I've tried to hide them. But they still come up.
How do I completely delete this type of content ?

Jesus. I thought it was just me. Is this something that just rolled out? I opened my Spotify today and literally half of the playlists at the top are auto-generated garbage that I don't care about. I scroll through every option I could find, and I don't see any way to turn off recommendations.

YO SPOTIFY. I'M NOT PAYING YOU MONEY TO FORCE **bleep** ON ME I DIDN'T ASK FOR
