How do I delete folders?

I'm using Webplayer not Desktop App. I've tried logging out but it made no diference.

Hey there @Andy_O68,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community!

Whether you're using the web player or the desktop app, you can right click on top of the folder and select the "Delete" option to remove it.

Note that if you delete a playlist folder, it will also delete the playlists inside of it if they're created by you. Followed playlists will also be removed from your library, so we'd suggest making sure to drag any playlist you want to keep out of the folder before doing so.

Hope this sheds some light on the matter. The Community will be here if anything else comes up.

Cheers!

If you delete the folder with a playlist still in it, does it permanently delete the playlist too? I accidentally deleted a folder a long time ago and lost all of my playlists. The playlists never showed up on the Recover Playlists feature on the website. Just wondering if its safe to keep my long playlists in folders now?

Hey @Begins009,

Thanks for the question!
As @Novy has mentioned, if you delete a folder, it will also delete the playlists inside (if they've been created by you). Followed playlists inside folders will be removed from your library only. As for your other question - it's completely safe to keep your playlists inside folders, as long as you make sure you don't accidentally end up removing the folders themselves without taking their contents out.

Cheers & hope this helps! We're here for you in case there's anything else.
