Lithium Community

Lithium Community

Hi,

I was managing my Premium Access on Spotify and I see Lithium Community as an "approved" app to interact with my spotify.
I wanted to know what this app does, and what consequencies I would have on cancelling this approval.

Hello @amachado! Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Lithium is the very community forum web application you and I are using to talk to each other right now! If you scroll to the bottom of any Spotify Community page, you'll see a "powered by Lithium" logo in the lower right, just above the dark colored footer.

Lithium boards power a lot of different support communities, such as Skype, Best Buy, Sony Europe, Sephora, and Verizon, to name a few. It's actually my favorite online community tool for helping out users. But I digress.

It should be fine to leave it as approved since you created an account on Spotify's community, but you can cancel the approval if you so desire.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

Hey Amanda! Welcome to the community!

Lithium is the community here! (https://community.spotify.com/). The boards here are powered by software called Lithium so that's why it's called Lithium in your Apps! If you have any other questions let me know!

Have a nice day and keep rockin'! 😄

Did anyone ever actually say what LB does in the context of the Spotty music app?  Not sure I really care that much about it powering the "boards".   I'm tempted to turn it off and see what happens on the music app.

great
