Local files not syncing to iphone

Local files not syncing to iphone

I'm a Spotify Premium user, and I have a playlist with a number of local files on it. These are on my computer, and then I synced them over to my iphone (SE). For months, this had been working fine, but all of a sudden, everything on my iphone undownloaded, just showing greyed out. I tried turning on and off wifi, deleting and reinstalling the app, restarting both my phone and my computer, but nothing worked. I also tried turning off and then back on the local files option on both my computer and phone, and undownloading and redownloading on the computer, but I'm still stumped.

Have you tried turn on the showing local file in iPhone's Spotify setting? In download related setting page I remember.

My Question or Issue

I have downloaded a song onto my phone and have added it directly to the Spotify folder in the iOS files app but when I go to play the song I get the same error message over and over

‘Song Not Downloaded

If you own the song, you can sync it from your computer.’

But the song is already downloaded to my phone and played already through the IOS files app. I have followed every video tutorial to the letter and non of them have this issue. Can someone please explain why this is happening

Im not sure if this is still an issue, but I just synced my Iphone and Spotify. Here's how I did it.

On your computer open up Spotify, click on the 3 dots (settings) edit - preferences. Toggle off the Local  local files then back on. Toggle on the location of the "Local files".

On the phone, click on your profile, go to settings and privacy, click on Apps and devices, toggle off and on the local Audio files. Go back to the main settings screen. Click log out of your account. Log back into the account and let Spotify "Sync". You will now see the Local files correctly synced in place and "Downloading" to your phone.

Best of Luck -
