Hey everyone,
We're unable to provide an ETA for a fix at this time, but rest assured this will remain on our internal teams' radar.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks for sharing it here. In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so you don't miss out on any updates.
Take care.
I had the same problem. Just use VPN for tv
Doesn't seem to be a priority to them. 😢
I love the lyrics view and use it on all platforms, pc, phone and smart tv. But I recently bought a Apple TV and now when listening Spotify I can’t view the lyrics in the app.

Done this and still no lyrics. Samsung Smart TV
I went through customer support. You have to disable the explicit filter in the phone and the lyric button will show up again. Worked on my Sony Android TV.
Same problem, on all three Roku devices and our two smart tvs. A feature we used almost every day. Why hasn't this been fixed yet it was first reported back in February, we're almost in August! What terrible service, I too do not wish to have explicit content available as mine is also used by children. For a service we're paying a hefty subscription for this seems to be a rather second class service. I'll be looking into other alternatives to switch permanently to.
How do we delete replies? 🤔😅🤷
I believe you're referring to "Smart Shuffle", the 1st option when pressing the shuffle button. Press it again to turn off smart shuffle. But I agree, the problem is not resolved.
First off, if you're reading this, please LIKE AS MANY COMMENTS AS YOU'D LIKE so that hopefully they'll fix it sooner. Thanks!
Second, I don't get Lyrics, can't see what song is playing, can't access any settings other than "About" on my SAMSUNG QN65Q60RAFXZA Flat 65" QLED 4K Q60 Series TV.
My PS5 no longer gets Lyrics, can't current song playing if you're in the Spotify app and the only settings are About and Turn on from Spotify (which is great for me, so don't get rid of that either! 😅). Would be nice to have settings like explicit filter, etc.
Make these apps great again! Please!
Makes me think about my subscription cost... 🤔
Exactly. I refuse to pay for a service that won't take time to repair something THEY BROKE. I've moved onto a different, less expensive service.
In my Samsung TV, the lyrics always seem to be ahead of where the song is at. For example, a song would be playing out of my TV. When I check my phone, the time stamp is at 2:00, and the lyrics are synced correctly when I check them on my phone. However, when I turn in the lyrics on my Samsung TV (which is where the music is playing out from), the lyrics are around 6 seconds ahead. And when I check the time stamp on the TV, it would say 2:06. Is this an issue on my end or is it a bug ??

It is affected our TV as well since the latest update on 12/13/2023.

Spotify version: 2.0.34
Thank you for your team getting this corrected.
Check your settings on your account. If data saving is on the lyrics don't show.

My Question or Issue
On my Samsung TV the timeline always starts at 10 seconds which moves the lyrics also 10 seconds forward, however the music is playing from start.
Even if i rewind the song, it will always move to 10 seconds.
I have tried reinstalling and deleting everything from Spotify from the TV, but still problems when i log back in.
Same problem here
Same, no Lyrics option on LG Smart TV app.
App version: 2024.08.12_2-6daad69 H 4.43.2
This is still an issue. The subtitles do not show on the Spotify app on Roku and it needs to be fixed ASAP to be inclusive to deaf and HOH. Your company should look into the CVAA signed into law by Obama.
Apparently, they don't care. This is a simple line of code that needs fixed yet it's been 9 months with NOTHING.
