No microSD support for Android app running on Chromebook?

My Question or Issue

 Where's the option to use my microSD card to download music? I have a Chromebook that is running the Android app from the Playstore, and while I can download to *INTERNAL* storage, which is very limited, I cannot select the 64gb microSD card I have installed.

TECHIESTUFF: Yes, I have used the same microSD card to downoad files in a previous Android phone. Yes, download to local storage on my Chromebook seems to work fine. It's just that the Android app running within a Chromebook won't see my microSD card...

I tried makind an Android/data/com.spotify.music folder in the root directory of my microSD card, but that didn't work.
