PS4 App audio only playing out of right speaker

My Question or Issue

 Just noticed today that audio from PS4 Spotiy App is only playing out of my front right speaker and subwoofer. I'm using a 5.1 DTS system with a digital optical cable running straight from the PS4 into the receiver. The 5.1 surround sound works fine on games, Netflix and receiver tests. The DTS light is lit on the receiver while Spotify App is playing music, but as I said I'm only getting audio out of one lonely speaker (and the sub). 

There seems to be nothing wrong with my equipment so there must be a problem with the Spotify App. Has anyone run into this problem and how did you correct it? It seems like huge waste having this great sound system and unlimited music only playing from one speaker.

That's odd.

Have you tried to reinstall the app on your Playstation?

And is the receiver firmware up do date?
