Playing a shared playlist for the office effecting my Discover Weekly

Playing a shared playlist for the office effecting my Discover Weekly

This is a bit of a spefic issue, but I was wondering if anyone had some thoughts on what I could do. Here's my problem:

I work in a small office that listens to Spotify all day. So we have a shared playlist to keep things democratic. The problem is, having the only desktop computer (non-laptop), I'm kind of the default for playing the playlist. There are some things that I wouldn't normally listen to on that playlist, but Spotify doesn't know that I don't like those songs because I'm listening to them daily. So my Discover Weekly has become “tainted”.

I'm wondering if there's a way to go like incognito or something so that Spotify isn't paying attention when I'm listening to this playlist. I thought of a “thumbs up/thumbs down” situation, but I would still be sending Spotify mixed signals as I continue to listen to this music that's not my favourite.

Thoughts?
