Private session still counts my listening while in a session

The private session is supposed to not count your activity for when you're listening to an artist and not count in your Spotify wrapped etc. When I listen to an artist in a private session, they still appear in my "most listened to artist this month" section.

Please note that your Top artists this month section is only visible to you and reflects your actual listening activity.

Rest assured, anything you listen to while in Private Session won't affect your taste profile or Wrapped statistics.

But do those minute in private mode count as time of listening for the wrapped? Because some friend playlists during holidays break my release radar playlist haha

Thanks for the reply. While content played in a Private Session may appear in some places on the homepage and such, it doesn't affect the algorithm's recommendations and is not counted for Wrapped, as @MihailY pointed out.

i’m a bit late but i listened to some songs i used to like on private listening (i used to listen to these songs on apple music i just recently switched to spotify like 3 months ago) and it changed my algorithm. this is so annoying if i knew the algorithm was gonna be this buggy and bad, i would’ve stayed with apple music
