Smart Shuffle is not a replacement for Enhance button! Bring Enhance back

Enhance playlist is my most favorite feature on the entire app. It matches the vibes of my playlists pretty well, even very specific ones. I love the ability to preview the recommended songs and add or remove the ones I already know. However, now I have "smart shuffle" instead of, and it is a major downgrade from enhance. I don't like shuffling my playlists and I don't even know what songs were added and when they will play now (yes, I can go to the queue, but managing which songs to add and remove is much less convenient this way. And I don't want to shuffle). PLEASE bring the Enhance button back! I am very frustrated

I need enhancement feature back or else i am unsubscribing spotify. Why should i listen to same songs again and again...

I agree I hate the smart shuffle because I can't see the new songs and it's shuffle, most of the time I just play straight through a playlist. I hope the bring the enhanced button back.

I completely agree! I made a similar post to this where I recommend giving users the option to choose their enhancing options because everyone prefers a different way of enhancing their playlist but regardless this is so aggravating and the smart shuffle doesn't even work! I loved the enhance feature, it was a great way to discover new music in the genre of my playlist (that isn't already in there) and unfortunately, they took that feature for what seems like no reason.

What I don't understand is there was already a form of SmartShuffle... put enhanced on and then bam shuffle your playlist. They talk about inclusion and everything in their posts but for as an autistic person they have ruined my whole user experience! I can't listen to my playlist with a little something extra as I now can't have it playing in order! Why remove something that people use and make it "better" if it's not broken! They aren't inclusive they are only about giving the big artists the publicity!!! What about the little artists!

Hey everyone!

Good news! Spotify has listened to user feedback and you can now disable Smart Shuffle from the mobile app settings, as mentioned in this now implemented idea. This setting will also be added to the desktop app in a future update.

Steps to disable Smart Shuffle in the mobile app:

1. Tap on your profile picture at the top left corner
2. Tap on Settings and privacy
3. Tap on Playback
4. Switch Include Smart Shuffle in play modes off

Note: This is for Premium users only and right now it's only available in the mobile app, but in a future update, there will be a setting to disable Smart Shuffle in the desktop app as well.
